Prof. Dr. Özdemir completed her Neurology specialization training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and earned her Ph.D. in Basic Neurological Sciences in 2001. From 2001 to 2004, she conducted postdoctoral studies at Harvard University as a Fulbright Scholar. She received the title of Professor in 2011. Between 2004 and 2014, she served as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Neurological Sciences. Özdemir continues her research in the field of neuroscience, focusing on migraine and stroke treatments.
