Istinye University has been ranked among the world’s best universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.
In the list, which includes more than 2,000 institutions from 115 countries and regions, Istinye University ranked 1st in Türkiye in the “International Outlook” category.
Globally, the University placed 321st in the same category and was positioned within the 1001-1200 band overall.
Istinye University continues to strengthen its position among the world’s leading higher education institutions in international evaluations.
The University was also listed among the world’s top universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, announced by the UK-based ranking organization.
In that edition, which evaluated over 2,000 universities from 115 countries, Istinye University was ranked within the 1001–1200 band.
First in Türkiye in “International Outlook”
In the “International Outlook” category, which measures the global competitiveness and international visibility of higher education institutions, Istinye University achieved the highest score among Turkish universities, ranking within the top 400 universities worldwide.
The THE World University Rankings evaluate institutions across five key pillars — Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook — using data from 17 performance indicators. This year, 2,092 universities worldwide and 91 from Türkiye were included in the rankings. Among Turkish universities listed in the THE World University Rankings, Istinye University ranked among the top institutions overall and eighth among foundation (non-profit private) universities.
