İstinye University is building Turkey’s leading and largest academic infrastructure in the field of Experimental High Energy Particle Physics (YEPAF).

The İSÜ-YEPAF Group, involved in a total of seven international scientific collaborations across Europe, Asia, and America, continues its R&D activities for both basic research and various applications. It is participating in 10 different projects as either the lead or a participant.

İSÜ is the only foundation university in the CERN-ATLAS experiment and the CERN-DRD1 collaboration, and the only Turkish university in the CERN-CAST experiment. İSÜ is also a member of the CERN-FCC feasibility study.

The İSÜ-YEPAF Group runs the only PhD program in Turkey specifically designed for High Energy Particle Physics. İstinye University will host its annual national workshop on particle accelerators and detectors, which is widely attended, on November 30th – December 1st this year.
