The IEEE Blockchain Summit Istanbul 2025 was held at Istinye University. Organized by IEEE Blockchain Türkiye, the summit brought together numerous speakers to raise awareness about blockchain technologies and their application areas, as well as to share the latest developments in the field.
A Summit Bringing Together Academic and Industry Stakeholders at Istinye
The IEEE Blockchain Summit Istanbul 2025 took place on November 13–14, 2025, at the Vadi Campus of Istinye University. The summit, in which our university was a collaborating partner, was organized by IEEE Blockchain Türkiye. Supported by the IEEE Blockchain Technical Committee, IEEE Turkey Section, and student blockchain groups, the event hosted leading experts in the field.
The opening speeches of the summit were delivered by Prof. Dr. Şeref Sağıroğlu (Chair, IEEE Blockchain Türkiye), Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Aydın (Chair, IEEE Turkey Section), Ramesh Ramadoss (Chair, IEEE Blockchain Technical Community), Prof. Dr. İlhami Çolak (Director of the Graduate School), and Prof. Dr. Hatice Gülen (Vice Rector).
A New Perspective on the Global Blockchain Ecosystem
Rapidly evolving blockchain technologies have the potential to transform various sectors such as finance, healthcare, energy, security, and logistics. In line with this perspective, the summit not only provided a platform to share and discuss current developments but also addressed initiatives aimed at strengthening Türkiye’s position in this field and enabling a more active role in global competition.
New Ideas and Projects in the Evolving Blockchain Ecosystem
Conducted in English, the IEEE Blockchain Summit offered participants a wide range of opportunities. Attendees gained up-to-date knowledge on blockchain technologies and developed new ideas that they could apply to their projects. The event also enabled stakeholders from different sectors to establish collaborations for new initiatives. The summit produced significant outcomes for both academic and industrial communities.
