İstinye University’s Bahar Biçen Aras Delivers Ethics Training at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University
On May 14, 2025, Bahar Biçen Aras, Head of Library and Information Resources at İstinye University, delivered a guest lecture at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University’s Department of Information and Records Management. The training, titled “The Ethical Compass of the Information Professional: Our Responsibilities in Light of TKD’s Professional Ethics Principles”, was part of the department’s Professional Ethics course.
During the session, Aras provided a comprehensive overview of the ethical responsibilities of information professionals in today’s world, focusing on the professional ethics principles set forth by the Turkish Librarians’ Association (TKD). The training aimed to raise awareness among students about ethical values and to prepare them to make sound decisions when faced with ethical dilemmas in their future careers.
