Our student Merve Bilgili is introducing her entrepreneurial project, Jelpresso, which stands out in the field of sustainability.
Jelpresso is a venture by two entrepreneurs driven by our passion for sustainability, transforming coffee waste into biomaterials. Coffee is the second most consumed product globally, generating approximately 15 million tons of waste annually. A large portion of this waste is left unrecycled, causing environmental harm and contributing to greenhouse gas emissions as it decomposes. At Jelpresso, our goal is to address both environmental and health issues by converting coffee waste into biomaterials with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties beneficial for skin health. Our aim is to contribute to nature through eco-friendly production.
