According to URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) data, Istinye University—previously recorded as the university with the most significant progress in recent years—continues its dynamic development in the 2025–2026 period with its performance in research and academic fields. In the URAP World Rankings, Istinye University has achieved a remarkable milestone by rising to 4th place among foundation universities in Turkey. In the overall national ranking, the university is ranked 29th among all Turkish universities.
While Istinye University was ranked 7th among foundation universities in the previous year, it climbed three positions to reach 4th place in the 2025–2026 list. In the URAP World Rankings, which evaluate over 3,000 universities globally, a total of 126 universities from Turkey are listed, including 97 state and 29 foundation universities.

The 2025–2026 URAP World Rankings are based on indicators such as the number of articles, articles per faculty member, citation count, total number of scientific documents, the number of international collaborative papers per faculty member, and TÜBİTAK-funded project outputs. The number of articles published in high-impact journals (Q1, Q2, and Q3) also plays a significant role in achieving high rankings on these lists.
As one of the fastest-advancing young foundation universities in Turkey, Istinye University has made a notable leap from 7th to 4th place in the span of a year, demonstrating impressive growth in the 2025–2026 URAP rankings.
