Istinye University and Global Analytics Leader SAS Collaborate to Pioneer a First in Data Science
Istinye University and global analytics leader SAS have launched a groundbreaking Data Science Education Program, of which the launch event was held on January 15.
At the launch event, Glyn Townsend, SAS Senior Director of Education Services for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, stated:
“Data science literacy will soon be as critical as traditional literacy. Turkey has a great opportunity to develop talent in AI services for the global market.”
For the first time in Turkey, this SAS Data Science training program will be offered at a university, standing out as an initiative that contributes to the democratization of data science education. By investing in one of the most in-demand professions of the future, the program aims to add value to students and support employment.
During the launch event, Istinye University Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, emphasized the social impact of this collaboration, stating:
“We prioritize the use of artificial intelligence and data science while upholding universal human values.”
The program will provide participants with a comprehensive analytical framework, ranging from statistical analysis to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Guided by the shared vision of Istinye University and SAS, the initiative prioritizes societal benefit and human values while steering advancements in AI and data science.
