Scientists from Turkey to Collaborate with Leading U.S. University on Developing Future Cancer Treatments

Istinye University, in collaboration with Liv Hospital and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the world’s leading higher education institutions, aims to develop new approaches to treating resistant cancers. Additionally, the cells used in these treatments will be produced in Turkey.

Through the protocol established between Istinye University, Liv Hospital, and the Perelman School of Medicine, the partnership seeks to implement new approaches to cell and proton therapies for resistant cancer through joint clinical activities. A wide range of projects will progress simultaneously, from clinical applications to second opinion systems, international training programs, and cell production laboratories. The scientific conferences organized through this protocol will allow Perelman Medical School experts to share their knowledge and experience with Turkish healthcare professionals. In addition, online and face-to-face training programs will be launched for doctors at Istinye University and Liv Hospital.

Turkish Doctors Will Experience Global Applications Up Close

Especially for complex and advanced cases requiring treatment, the insights and evaluations of experts from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania will be made available to doctors at Istinye University and Liv Hospital. Doctors will have the opportunity to interact with their pioneering international colleagues and benefit from their perspectives.

“Scientific Collaborations Are the Driving Force of Transformation in Healthcare”

The collaboration will also provide a solid foundation for joint biomedical research. Projects carried out in compliance with international scientific and ethical standards aim to contribute to knowledge production, innovation, human health, and the future of treatments.
