Strategic Partnership Signed Between İstinye University and Information Technologies Leader Redington Turkey

İstinye University has signed an important collaboration protocol with Redington Turkey, a global technology and consulting company. The protocol was signed by İstinye University Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş and Redington Turkey Sales Director Bora İncir. Operating in over 30 countries worldwide, Redington stands out as a global technology company making pioneering contributions in areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing. Redington Turkey and İstinye University aim to expand their collaborations by creating branded courses, sectoral projects, and technology-focused joint efforts.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Gürsoy Özdemir, Department Head of Management Information Systems Assoc. Prof. Dr. Okan Yaşar, and Deputy Secretary General İlkay Sancaktar. Redington Turkey was represented by Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Director Mine Güneş, Professional Services Manager Murat Coşkunsoy, Cloud Computing Technical Team Leader Burak Şardağ, and Marketing and Communications Director İclal Anasoy.

Emphasizing that the collaboration would not be limited to academic and sectoral projects, İstinye University Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş expressed the necessity of creating sustainable impact through joint efforts:

Mine Güneş, Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Director at Redington Turkey, stated that societal contribution is one of the company’s top priorities, particularly focusing on projects aimed at disadvantaged groups in terms of access to technology:

New Opportunities in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics

As part of the signed protocol, the first step is to incorporate a Redington-branded course into İstinye University’s academic curriculum. Through this course, students will gain sectoral knowledge and experience in critical areas of today’s technology world, such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. Furthermore, sectoral projects, workshops, seminars, and R&D projects will be initiated between the university and the company in the future.

Vice Rector of İstinye University Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan highlighted the advantages this collaboration offers students, especially in the fields of innovation and technology:

Particularly, branded courses will be an important tool in providing our students with direct industry experience. Additionally, İstinye University Incubation Valley hosts many companies in the digitalization field. Collaborating with Redington on product development processes will be highly efficient.”

Redington Turkey Marketing and Communications Director İclal Anasoy expressed the opportunities the collaboration would offer students:
