Prof. Dr. Osman Can Ünver Made Significant Contributions at the 39th Session of the United Nations Committee on Migrant Workers
Istinye University Political Science and Public Administration faculty member, Prof. Dr. Osman Can Ünver, participated in the 39th session of the United Nations Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (CMW). The session was held at the Palais Wilson in Geneva from December 2-13, 2024.
This Convention, to which Türkiye is a party, provides a comprehensive legal framework aimed at safeguarding the human rights of migrant workers and their families at the international level.
Prof. Ünver has been a CMW Member Since 2016 & Representing Türkiye Since 2023
Since 2016, Prof. Dr. Ünver has been serving as a member of the CMW, and since 2023, he has been representing Türkiye at the United Nations Committee on Migrant Workers. In addition to his duties at the UN, he stands out for his efforts to enhance Türkiye’s effectiveness in international law. With his extensive expertise and experience in human rights and international law, Prof. Dr. Ünver continues to make significant contributions on a global scale.
