Fifteen academics from Istinye University have achieved a significant milestone by being ranked within the top 2% of Stanford University’s 2025 “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list. The academics were recognized in both the Career-Long Impact and Annual Impact categories. This success highlights the university’s research and development-oriented vision while further strengthening its visibility and impact on an international scale.
Excellence in Engineering and Medicine
The “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list, prepared by Stanford University and published in Elsevier’s database in September 2025, is recognized worldwide as a highly respected scientific reference. The Istinye University academics included in the list are predominantly faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine. This achievement once again underlines the international visibility and impact of the university’s R&D efforts, particularly in engineering and medicine.
Lifetime Academic Impact
The list evaluates the impact and scientific performance of researchers throughout their careers. Conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr. John P. A. Ioannidis, the study considered 22 scientific fields and 174 subcategories. Using Elsevier’s ICSR Lab data and the Scopus database, the analysis reflects the global visibility and scientific influence of academics through objective metrics.
